Radar Monitoring Display
One of the most successful and flexible products from our surveillance monitoring product family is RMD. It provides outstanding connectivity and native processing of close to all types of radar and surveillance data.

Integrated into the familiar look and feel of an ATC working position and equipped with all the features of a modern display system, RMD offers access to a series of remarkable functions, including selective multi-channel processing and immediate replay facilities. Apart from the dynamic aspect of data presentation and assessment, additional tools support online and offline analysis of data, without interference with the current online data acquisition.

Using a distributed and highly scaleable architecture, the interfaces of RMD reach out to the existing SPDS to collect and assess information independently. RMD supports the tracing of depicted target information down to the binary level and all along the chain of processing. Features like this make the use of general purpose analyzers for the assessment of situations in the SDPS effectively unnecessary. RMD presents the information on user’s request, without time-consuming set-up times.

Comprehensive Set of Tools
In addition to the primary data processing and display presentation of surveillance data, RMD includes a set of additional tool functions that have proven to be most efficient for both operational and engineering staff.

Acquired data can be either archived or exported to external systems like the SASS-C or the RAPS-II for further analysis. In order to ensure data coherence, technical and load analysis of the data is conducted online or at certain, user-defined intervals.

Additional agents can be installed to prove that safety standards are observed. Further, RMD offers supplementary value added tools to extract and present an air situation accurately in two and three dimensions. Enhanced by the option of adding annotations, all these features also allow RMD to be efficiently used in the field of incident assessments.

Instant Recording and Replay
RMD comes with a sophisticated recording and replay functionality, which allows the storage of all of the received data for a certain period of time. During this period, any recorded data can be archived and replayed within a few seconds. No time consuming preparation is required, since RMD replays the data and events locally. Data acquired by an RMD recording, can be accessed by offline tools or migrated to remote systems in standard formats for further analysis.

For this purpose RMD can be equipped with a number of communication units located at different places in the environment. Via the connection of these units, all services can be provided to an arbitrary number of RMD consoles at several different locations and serving various purposes. Each RMD console then shares the common environment setup database and can access all data streams. Individual user preferences and adjustments can be made separately for every single RMD console.

The adaptation of RMD to a specific user environment requires a detailed profiling and customization process of the standard modules.
